Firstly I would like to thank you for taking time to visit our website,

My name is Jason Holden and I am the principal of Holden Associates
which is a family run practice. I am a UK qualified accountant
who has over 24 years experience within the owner managed business
sector.
It
is after many years working for not only locally based firms of
accountants here in Lancashire, as well as one of West Yorkshires
leading firms in the city of Leeds that I opened Holden Associates in
February 2004 to offer my expertise on a full time basis, to
not only the local business community here in the North West, but
through the use of technology such as online
accounting software,
skype, email, our online chat facility and of course not forgetting
good old BT we have since January 2005 been able to advise and
support businesses just like you,
nationally.
You will have seen throughout this website the
commitment and passion I have for providing my clients with an edge in
todays competitive business environment. This is something I take very
seriously, as well as being a qualified accountant and business adviser
(or business mentor, the label doesn't really matter), I am also
just like you, a business owner. Holden Associates was itself a
start up, in 2004 it became my only source of income, with
only a small handful of clients, and certainly
not enough clients to put any "jam on my toast", but I went for it,
and I
am very proud of what we are building here at Holden Associates.
In
2003, with the realisation that the business world was getting ever
smaller, trade barriers becoming ever more blurred and the
adoption of International Financial Reporting Standards creating an
ever more level playing field across the globe, I took the decision to
further my reach by gaining a further professional accounting
qualification in Australia,
something which has already proved useful and enabled me to put our
clients in touch with other suitably qualified and competent advisers
thousands of miles away.
In November 2010 I joined the Institute
of Enterprise and Entrepreneurs 'IOEE' as a Mentor. Having
previously been a Full Member of the Institute of Business Consulting I
felt that in the current climate the IOEE is more relevant to the needs
of the Small and Medium sized Business owner and Entrepreneur.
It is my ultimate aim, together with the other professionally
qualified people we partner with, to make Holden Associates a ‘one stop
shop’ for all our
clients business needs, whether it be accounting, taxation, employment
law, business advice or even help finding overseas professional
advisers, but at all times remembering that each client is different,
and they all deserve the best advice and support we
can offer.
